Car dealership websites inCape Town stock that updates itself and enquiries that reach a person

We build car dealership websites in Cape Town, and we are a Cape Town business ourselves. Our office is in Table View, which is close enough to most of the dealer strip that we have walked several of these floors before we built anything.

A dealership site has a narrow job: get onto the shortlist a buyer builds before they phone anyone, and make enquiring take one tap. Everything else on the page is in service of those two things.

The build covers the site itself, a stock feed so the cars online match the cars on the floor, and the lead capture behind it. From there, the marketing and the back-office systems are separate decisions you make when you are ready, not a bundle you have to buy up front.

Our home market is Cape Town

This is our home market. Our office is at 22 Hof Street, Table View, and our Cape Town dealer work includes Autocrat Motors and the Changan franchise in Table View.

What a Cape Town dealer is really up against

Cape Town dealers compete against the same national listing portals as everyone else, so the buyer arrives having already compared your stock to a few hundred identical listings on price alone. The site you own is the only place in that journey where you get to be a specific business rather than a row in a grid.

The numbers behind that are not local to Cape Town, they are how car buying works now: 92% of buyers decide online before they call, the average dealer takes around 42 hours to respond, and the first dealer to reply wins roughly 78% of the time. A site that is slow to load or slow to answer loses on all three.

What we build for Cape Town dealerships

Start where it hurts. Most dealers start with the site, then switch on the marketing, then the back office. You are not buying all three today.

The part nobody explains

How your stock actually gets onto your site

Almost every dealer we speak to is still re-typing cars. The car goes onto the portal, then onto the website, then onto Facebook, and every retype is another chance for the price to be wrong in one of those places.

What replaces it is a feed. Your stock system, or the portal you already load into, produces a file listing every car with its price, mileage, spec and photographs. Your site reads that file and rebuilds the stock pages from it. Nobody types anything twice, and the cars online match the cars on the floor by definition rather than by discipline.

The part that bites, and the reason we build it differently now: a feed that runs on a schedule can quietly stop running. That happened on one of our own client sites in July 2026. A price changed on the floor, the sync did not fire, and the website carried on serving the old number perfectly happily. A stale price is worse than no price, because the buyer arrives expecting it.

So every feed we build now does two things beyond the sync itself. The rebuild is triggered by the feed changing rather than only by a nightly timer, and the site watches its own freshness and raises an alarm if the stock has not updated when it should have. If a supplier is offering you a nightly job and nothing else, ask them what happens the night it fails, and who finds out.

Areas we cover around Cape Town

The work is remote, so this is where we can serve a dealer rather than where we happen to have an office. If your suburb is not on the list it does not mean no.

Questions from Cape Town dealers

Do you actually work with dealerships in Cape Town?

Yes. Autocrat Motors and Changan Table View are both Cape Town builds, and both are live and linked from our case studies. Our office is in Table View.

Can we meet in person?

In Cape Town, yes, and it is often worth doing once at the start so we can see how the floor actually runs. After that most of the work happens over WhatsApp and a preview link, because that is faster for everyone.

How long does a dealership site take?

You see the design direction within 24 to 72 hours of the quote. A full build is usually three to four weeks from the point we have your stock feed and your brand material, and the timeline pauses while anything we need is outstanding.

What does it cost?

We quote a build once we have seen your stock volume and what you are running now, so the number means something. For comparison, auto.co.za publishes R1,850 to R3,500 a month by fleet size, which is the only public price anchor in this market. The quote before any of that is free and you keep it either way.

We take a handful of dealer builds at a time. Ask us for a quote and we'll show you, on your own numbers, exactly what this would change.
